Derrick Pickering, FNP-c, CNM
OBGYN Nurse Practitioner
Derrick Pickering worked at Primary Children’s Hospital for nearly 5 years while completing his training as a family nurse practitioner at Brigham Young University (Provo) in 2014. Derrick’s experiences with childhood illness motivated him to serve others as his nurses served him.
Later in life, his personal family's struggles with infertility and pregnancy complications inspired his special interest in women’s health. This was his drive to further specialize in women’s health at Frontier Nursing University where he earned a post-graduate certificate as a Certified Nurse-Midwfie. His professional and personal experiences allow him to provide compassionate and comprehensive patient care.
When Derrick isn’t working, he enjoys scuba diving, vacationing, and spending time with his wife of more than 15 years and their three children.
